Well here we are again.
I did say these newsletters would be infrequent, and the last one we sent you was some time ago
however we at wish-list.net think it's high time you all were deciding what you want for Christmas 2006.
======= Quick Maintenance First! =========
However, before you happily start adding new stuff to your wish-list, there are two things you need to do to get it up to date:
1. Please mark all 'bought' items in your list either 'archive' (if you want to keep them) or 'delete' (if you don't). The reason for this is that 'bought' items remain in the public area, but 'archive' ones don't. This means that people who bought you stuff from your list will still see those items in their printable shopping lists, and they are probably getting upset with you.
Go to the wish-list site by clicking on the link at the bottom of this message, log in, and in the 'my list' area click the link saying 'archive bought items'. Easy eh? So do it now before you forget!
2. Some of your so called 'friends' may have reserved items on your list, and never bought them for you. (Bad friends!) There is a link at the top of your list that allows you to view the status of public items. Clicking on it shows you your list as other people see it - i.e. you can tell at a glance if something has been 'reserved' or 'bought' for you already. You need to go into each 'reserved' item and change its status back to 'available'. (You can check the date it was reserved for you by clicking on the 'edit history' link in the item if you need to.)
This is something you should do as early as possible to minimise the risk of seeing stuff that people are reserving for you for this Christmas.
========= End of Maintenance Section ==========
With best wishes from
